System and Network Engineer

Job Summary The Systems and Network Engineer develops, maintains, and supports ViewRay's technical infrastructure that includes network, hardware (desktops, workstations, laptops, servers, network devices such as firewalls, switches, routers, hubs, WIfi, connectivity etc.), database, and system components. This includes but not limited to sizing of network resources, planning of hardware resources, load balancing where necessary, critical system monitoring including KPIs. Proactively identify gaps and make recommendations to address them using industry's best practices.This position will report to Head of Information Technology.   Responsibilities Project Planning and Ownership: Develop a plan, roadmap, time-line, for systems, projects, etc. Executes project planning and reporting Planning & Analysis: Uses critical thinking to approach problems and create solutions Provides feedback and suggestions to ensure our systems and infrastructure meet the needs of our users Properly plans and sizes network requirements to ensure proper scalability and operational efficiency Helps design and configure infrastructure systems and applications using industry best practices Delivery & Execution: Performs configuration, debugging, and support for infrastructure, network, database, systems and security solutions Documents, reviews and ensures that all quality and change control standards are met Stands up the necessary system software, hardware, and equipment (physical or virtual) to meet changing infrastructure needs Maintains inventory of all IT assets Create and verify backup of data Monitor, track and manage network (firewalls, switches, routers, hubs, WIfi, connectivity etc.) and information security in our environment. Monthly reporting of security related KPIs. Support & Enablement: Awareness and ability to follow company and departmental SOPs. Acts as technical escalation point for other IT staff. Helps train and coach IT staff where necessary Provides information and training to staff to ensure proper use of internal systems and procedures in accordance with company and departmental SOPs.  Provides technical support for both hardware and software issues for end users Collaborates with users and departments to understand needs and enable them with IT solutions Leverages systems and applications to monitor the operational status of applications, infrastructure, networks, databases, and security; optimizes and tunes performance as appropriate Performs root cause analysis, debugging, support, and post-mortem analysis for major issues, security incidents and service interruptions Maintains, upgrades, and supports existing systems and infrastructure to ensure operational stability Opens and manages vendor problem tickets to resolution Produces in-house documentation around solutions, systems, and applications Monitors tools and proactively resolves system issues Ensures all systems, infrastructure, and network components are monitored sufficiently in order to maintain uptime SLAs Supports the creation of scripts and tools that that drive automation and enable end users to move towards self service Education, Experience, Skills 8 years of experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, VMs, Desktops, Laptops, Servers, SQL Servers etc. in Linux and Windows environment Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments. 5 years successful leadership of an IT infrastructure team. Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, MS Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery. Conversant with scripting programming languages such as SQL, PowerShell Commands, Linux Command etc. Experience in interpreting the applicability of local and federal laws/regulations (including data privacy practices and laws) to company operations. Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards, and so on. Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles. Experience installing network cabling and telephony systems. Personal Interactions Creative, flexible, and collaborative in approach to technical problem solving Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, at a variety of technical levels Ability to work effectively as part of the diverse team including physicists, scientists, and engineers in a fast-paced environment and with multiple projects

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
