JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Equipment Coordinator is to facilitate the administrative requirements and equipment ordering for the ALTEC Engineering Solutions group and utilize Bill's of Materials, Purchase Requests and other technical documents to create work orders, requisitions, and purchase orders through SAP. Purchase orders are issued to relevant vendors, both internal and external. The position also requires managing inventory related to purchasing for projects and spare parts orders. Another key responsibility will be to support spare parts and service orders through direct sales to existing and new customers.

Support of other key equipment related administrative and functional tasks including inventory management, staging, light assembly and general assistance to promote group operations may also be included with role.

The candidate must be highly self-motivated and ready to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. Individual production must be geared toward accurate purchases, inventory and spare parts quotes/orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The key responsibilities of this position include:
  • Candidate must be capable of maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Receive and manage sales orders and track projects.
  • Creates and maintains work orders, requisitions, purchase orders, and terms & conditions documents.
  • Support equipment sales with spare parts quoting, order receipt and order expediting/management
  • Maintain relevant fields and data in SAP.
  • Works with internal and external teams to support on time delivery, minimize shipping issues and expediting orders as necessary.
  • Support receipt of goods and materials for use on projects and within the facility.
  • Support shipping of goods and materials related to projects and the general operation of the facility.
  • Prompt communication with team members and customers.
  • Effective and efficient teamwork.
  • Safe and compliant work practices and engaged with the ALTEC safety program.
  • Support assembly work as required.
  • Must be able to work independently in a demanding, fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of component selection, identifying systemic root causes and process improvements prefferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Other ERP/MRP experience a plus
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Rare (<1% of work time);
COMPUTER SKILLS:
  • SAP
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of Google G Suite (Kite) products
COMMUNICATION and/or CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings.
  • Ability to write routine business reports and business correspondence in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
